Unable to collect trophy from dead players

You can’t pick up trophy’s from dead players I killed an adult spino and tried to pick up the trophy but it just gives me meat chunks while the trophy prompt is available.

I killed the player and he had a trophy to give and I tried to pick it up but it gives me a meat chunk.

I’m supposed to be able to get the trophy from the player
