My classmates' names keep hovering in a spot, even though they aren't there

This error occurs when I am in a group with other players: when I head toward my friends' locations, the marker stays fixed at a single point even though they aren't actually there. It has happened to me many times that I’ve gone to help them, only to be misled by those false locations.

I head toward my teammates, and their nameplates appear floating even though they aren't actually there.

I would have to go by their nameplates to head towards them and locate them.
