Bluetooth Mouse Left-Click Switches Input to Touch, and Space Bar Sometimes Fails

I am playing Path of Titans on an iPad connected to a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. When I left-click using the mouse, the skill display appears on the screen, but I cannot activate the skill assigned to the left mouse button. Instead, the input method switches to touch controls. Additionally, the space bar sometimes stops responding, preventing my Hatzegopteryx (Hatz) from jumping or performing a high takeoff.

Left-clicking the mouse causes the skill display to appear on the screen.
