Sucho food glitch

I was simply playing sucho on regular officials multiplayer & hunted a critter in sharp tooth with no issues, I hit the eat button & nothing happened & the more I clicked it the critter lost its food but I gained no food & the critter vanished. It was the long neck critter. & It kept happening even after game restart. Fortunately I was able to pick the meat up instead of using eat button so I didn't starve.
The attacks I used to kill it were the riptide bite & Hooked Snap

It also occurred in the water, & I tried to see if it was still happening & it is, I also noticed it happened after I activated Muffled roar call to swim faster, so that might be the issue

Nothing, I just chased & killed it, on clear ground, it wasn't clipped into any rock, water or branch to cause it.

I was supposed to be able to eat using the EAT button & do the eat Animation but that didn't occur.
