Ubuntu Linux Screen Disappearing

After about an hour of gameplay on Ubuntu Linux PoT, the game consistently simply disappears. This seems to happen with PS5 controller input, specifically the circle button, though I am not 100% on that, and I have not yet played with keyboard and mouse. I cannot shutdown the game through the launcher, forcing me to restart my laptop every for every hour of gameplay, which is quite frustrating.

Game screen disappears, as well as the app icon at the bottom of the screen.

I would expect the game to continue playing as normal, without disappearing, like it did when I played on Windows with the same laptop and controller.
