Albino Mawsonia sunk to seafloor and became uninteractable

While playing as kaiwhekea, I received the albino mawsonia quest. Upon killing it, it sank to the seabed and became uninteractable. I first tried searching it as I had the fish fin quest active, then I tried eating and taking meat chunks. None of these interactions worked. I am currently unaware if the bug is related to the critter itself, or if the issue occurred after searching for the quest.

No interactions on the mawsonia corpse were carried out. The prompts were available but every input did not result in a response. I checked my connection to make sure the issues were not internet related.

Critter corpses should be interactable at all times. Searching, eating, and taking a meat chunk should all be possible.
