Cancellation of buffs

While attempting to apply a buff while swimming at the surface, I submerged underwater before the buff finished. The buff was cancelled when I went underwater, and I did not receive the buff.

The buff is cancelled upon submerging and the buff effect is not granted.

The buff should be successfully granted if the buff activation was already started, or the game should clearly indicate that submerging will cancel the buff.
