Android does not recognize side mouse buttons.

I tried adding abilities to the side buttons of my mouse, but the game doesn't recognize them. I used the same mouse on my Xbox and it didn't have this problem. I went into the tablet settings and removed the commands from one of the buttons, the "back" button, which would cause me to exit the game when I tried to assign it to an ability, but that didn't work either. Then I downloaded an app that swaps commands and gets the buttons recognized, and it worked for a while; it recognized the buttons as 1 and 2, but in-game, when they are activated, the ability doesn't activate. I also asked my friend to test it on his phone, and he couldn't get it to work either.
