Creating Character will not leave screen

Creating Character please wait loading screen over gameplay and unable to access anything within the game except hiding the HUD.

I was creating a spino from an egg invite and when I loaded into the game, it had the Creating Character stuck on the screen and I could not press any keys to access the menu, chat, or settings. I could switch off the HUD, but not record it.
