Sarco uses stamina as if sprinting while walking on land

I started to grow a sarco on riparia and I noticed on land while walking (with sprint toggled off) my stamina would drain as if I was running when I wasn’t. It doesn’t do this in water, only land. I don’t know if this persists into other growth stages, as I only just started to grow my sarco before my friends came on and we switched to something else.
