Can fall into the map

Description

My friend became stuck in a small terrain pit, appearing to fall into it endlessly. I attempted to push him out, but my Kentrosaurus became stuck in the process.

I tried wiggling and maneuvering my dinosaur to catch the ledge with its front legs and climb out. However, instead of escaping the pit, my dinosaur fell through the terrain.

Am I a bad person for wanting to see if I could spit on a passing Rex from inside the pit? 😂

Observed Result

A dinosaur became stuck in a small terrain pit. While attempting to help push the stuck dinosaur free, my own dinosaur also became trapped, except it was shaking around crazily. I used precision movement to wiggle and get my front legs out of the pit; which resulted in me turning around, and suddenly my kentro fell into the rock.

Expected Result

Dinosaurs should be able to escape terrain pits without clipping through the terrain.

Steps to Reproduce

1

Locate the terrain pits near Triad Falls Home Cave on Gondwa, slightly southwest of the Home Cave entrance. Pit Coordinates: X: -327361.313718 Y: -13456.976309 Z: 2281.156388

2

Fall into the pit at the specified coordinates. Make sure your dinosaur is facing the corner of the rocky terrain near the drop-off.

3

Use Precision Movement to wiggle your dinosaur against the corner while maintaining forward momentum. If successful, you should fall through the terrain and become stuck inside the wall!

4

Welcome to Fourth Plane! Spy on passing travellers, attack anyone close enough, spit on them if you can, lay down, worship the black void, and leave at your convenience! ⚠️ Warning: Staying too long may result in the Home Cave debuff!

I’ve discovered that the glitch only works with fully grown creatures approximately one to two slots in size. Daspletosaurus is too tall to clip through the terrain, while a juvenile chicken is too small to trigger the glitch and instead falls into the pit, where it can move freely. This concludes my testing of which creature sizes can reproduce the terrain bug.

Here is additional footage demonstrating the same terrain-clipping glitch using a juvenile Concavenator that is almost adolescent. The video also displays the coordinates of the pit where the glitch occurs. - looks like this glitch is limited too 1/2 slot dinosaurs. I will further test this with my dasp.

The map coordinates for the pit where I’ve been reproducing the terrain-clipping bug are: X: -327361.313718 Y: -13456.976309 Z: 2281.156388 Please note that I transcribed these coordinates from a screenshot due to the limitations of the PS5, so there may be a small possibility of a transcription error. I’ve also uploaded footage of my juvenile Barsboldia clipping into the rock face and demonstrating the ability to attack through the terrain. The Stegosaurus shown in the footage belongs to a friend who assisted me with testing the bug.

Following my successful test with Achillobator, which confirmed that the glitch is not exclusive to quadrupedal dinosaurs, I conducted further testing with Sarcosuchus and Daspletosaurus. I chose these Dino’s to rule out size limitations on this bug. Sarcosuchus: Sarco appears to be too large for this particular test. It can climb out of the hole too easily, making it difficult to reproduce the conditions needed to trigger the glitch. - impossible Daspletosaurus: Dasp appears to have potential. During testing, it can become stuck against the terrain and enter the falling animation that I believe is necessary to clip through the terrain. However, getting it into the correct position seems difficult, potentially because Dasp is too tall to wiggle far enough into the wall. These are the clips proving my failed attempts, however I may try to explore my hypothesis on dasps potential to enter the terrain in the near future, my next test is going to be with 1 slot and baby dinosaurs.

These attatchments are evidence of my kentro reproducing the glitch, and my achillobator reproducing the glitch, confirming it isn’t strictly a quadrepedle dinosaur glitch.
